Genesis Engine · The platform

The Web3
gaming platform.

All the infrastructure. None of the licence.

Genesis Engine handles KYC, custody, NFT minting, marketplace, and crypto tax at the platform level. Developers integrate once and ship to EU players legally. Compliance stays with us.

The platform

Compliance infrastructure and payment rails.

Web3 games trigger regulatory obligations the moment they touch player funds. Custodial wallets, NFT marketplaces, token transfers — these fall under MiCA in the EU and similar frameworks elsewhere. Most developers cannot carry that compliance load alone.

Genesis Engine carries it for them. The platform holds the licences. Developers use the SDK. Games ship. The legal weight stays at the infrastructure layer where it belongs.

The architecture

Where Genesis Engine sits.

Above the chain. Below your game logic. Genesis Engine handles every regulated touchpoint between players and your game economy.

Layer 1
Your game Unity · Unreal · Custom engine
Layer 2
Genesis Engine SDK Drop-in integration
Layer 3 · Platform
Genesis Engine KYC · Custody · Marketplace · Payments · Tax · Reporting
Layer 4
Blockchain Chain-agnostic — chain of your choice

The platform

Four foundations. One platform.

01 · Compliance

Compliance

KYC, AML, and regulatory reporting at the platform layer. Genesis Engine holds the CASP licence centrally so developers do not need to.

  • KYC and identity verification via Sumsub
  • AML transaction monitoring via Chainalysis
  • Custodial wallet management with AWS KMS hardware security modules
  • MiCA-aligned reporting handled automatically
02 · Payment rails

Payment rails

In-game sales, peer-to-peer trades, and token transfers run through licensed payment infrastructure. EU-legal by default.

  • Direct in-game asset sales
  • P2P marketplace trades
  • Token transfers between players
  • Fiat on-ramp partners integrated
03 · Developer tooling

Developer tooling

SDKs for the engines developers actually use. APIs for everything else.

  • Unity SDK
  • Unreal SDK
  • REST APIs for custom engines
  • Webhooks for event handling
  • NFT minting endpoints
  • Crypto tax reporting endpoints
04 · Safety

Safety

Player funds protected. Smart contracts audited. PII liability stays off your books.

  • SAFU-style reserve, modelled on Binance's Secure Asset Fund for Users
  • Smart contracts audited by Hashlock
  • Zero PII liability — sensitive data never touches developer infrastructure
  • Auth0 for player authentication

Chain-agnostic

Chain-agnostic by design.

Genesis Engine works with multiple chains independently. Build your game on Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Avalanche, or anywhere your tokenomics make sense. The compliance and payment layer stays the same.

We do not connect chains to each other. The platform sits one layer up — handling the regulated parts of your game economy regardless of which chain settles the transaction.

Safety and security

Safety holds at the platform level.

Audited contracts

Smart contracts audited by Hashlock

Every contract that handles player funds is audited before it ships. Hashlock is the security audit partner.

SAFU-style reserve

Player funds backed by reserve

Genesis Engine maintains a SAFU-style reserve, modelled on Binance's Secure Asset Fund for Users. The reserve is audited and held independently of operating funds.

Zero PII liability

Developers do not touch sensitive data

Player identity documents flow through Sumsub directly. Wallet keys live in AWS KMS hardware security modules. Developers stay out of GDPR and KYC scope.

The dashboard

See the platform in action.

The Genesis Engine dashboard is the developer's view into the platform. Track compliance events, monitor player onboarding, configure marketplace and minting, view payment activity.

The platform is in active development. Early access is available to developers on the waitlist.

Who it's for

Who Genesis Engine is for.

Indie

Indie developers

Solo developers and small teams building Web3 games with custodial wallets, in-game economies, or NFT mechanics. The compliance burden of going alone is unworkable. Genesis Engine carries it.

Studios

Established studios

Game studios with existing IP moving into Web3. Add Web3 mechanics to an existing title or build a new one without setting up a parallel regulatory operation.

Web3-native

Web3-native projects

Projects building games on top of an existing token or community. Drop the SDK in, plug into the compliance layer, ship to EU players without sourcing your own CASP licence.

Genesis Engine is regulation-ready infrastructure. The missing piece for blockchain games.

Questions

Developer questions.

What does Genesis Engine actually do for my game?
Genesis Engine handles the regulated parts of your Web3 game economy: KYC, custodial wallet management, NFT minting, marketplace, payment processing, and crypto tax reporting. Your game integrates via SDK or API. The platform handles compliance reporting and holds the CASP licence so you do not need to.
Which chains does Genesis Engine work with?
Genesis Engine is chain-agnostic. We work with Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Avalanche, and other chains independently. We do not bridge or connect chains to each other.
Do I need my own CASP licence?
Not when you build on Genesis Engine. The platform holds the licence centrally. Developers operate under the platform's regulatory perimeter rather than maintaining their own.
What about player data and GDPR?
Player identity documents flow directly to Sumsub. Wallet keys live in AWS KMS hardware security modules and are non-exportable. Developers stay out of GDPR and KYC scope.
How does pricing work?
Pricing is structured around platform usage. Early developers on the waitlist get bespoke terms. Detailed pricing is shared with shortlisted developers during onboarding.
Can I use Genesis Engine if I'm not in the EU?
Yes. MiCA applies based on where your players are, not where your team is. If you have EU players, Genesis Engine handles the EU compliance regardless of where you are headquartered.
When does Genesis Engine launch?
Genesis Engine is in active development. We are onboarding developers through the waitlist now and will open platform access at launch. Early applicants get priority.
Is Genesis Engine open source?
The SDK and developer-facing tooling are open. The compliance and licensing infrastructure that holds the regulatory perimeter is not — for security and regulatory reasons.
